What is Stewardship?
Christian Stewardship is a way of life that acknowledges everything we have—our time, talents, and financial resources—comes from God. It is our grateful response to God’s grace and love.
Through Stewardship, we commit ourselves to Christ and His Church, supporting the ministries, liturgical life, and practical needs of our parish family.
THE THREE PILLARS OF STEWARDSHIP
Orthodox Stewardship is holistic, inviting every faithful Christian to offer their whole life to Christ through three interconnected pillars:
1. Time (Spiritual Devotion & Presence)
Time is our most non-renewable gift. Stewarding our time means prioritizing our relationship with God through regular attendance at the Divine Liturgy, participation in the Sacraments, personal prayer, and remaining actively engaged in the worshiping body of the Church.
2. Talent (Service & Ministry)
God endows every person with unique gifts, abilities, and experiences. Stewardship means offering those talents in service to the Church and community—whether through teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, serving on the Parish Council, aiding Philoptochos outreach, or maintaining the church facilities.
3. Treasure (Financial Commitment)
Financial stewardship is a tangible expression of our gratitude and trust in God. It provides the necessary material resources to sustain the liturgical, educational, and charitable work of the parish, ensuring the Church remains a beacon of Orthodoxy today and for generations to come.
