We study the Word of God in the Holy Scriptures that has been revealed to us through the prophets, through the church fathers by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and through the incarnate Logos of God Himself. 
 
In this ministry, we meet once a week to study the Bible closely, looking at the Word of God, sometimes line by line, and looking at each line within context – within the context of that week’s particular passage, the context of its specific book, and in the context of the entire Bible, as well as through the lens of our Orthodox Church’s Patristic literature. 
 
Please don’t forget the fact that, in the Orthodox church, the study of the Bible also happens through the Divine Services and through participation in the Holy Sacraments of the Church because they are all very deeply biblically based services. 
 
God desires that we learn his Word because our salvation is ultimately through His Word.  Through this ministry, we grow closer to Christ and to His Church.  There is in fact nothing more important in life than very life itself, and the study of the Word of God gives us exactly this – life and “life more abundantly.” (John 10:10).
